Peer Advisor Position
As a Peer Advisor you need to be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, understand financial aid regulations (which training will be provided) and be able to answer financial aid related questions from parents, students, and other entities. You will be responsible for answering phones, emails, processing financial aid documents, processing mail, and any other projects that may come up. Must be willing to provide a polite and professional customer service experience to parents, students, faculty/staff, and others. Peer adviors must comply with FERPA regulations which are required in communication with parents, students and other outside entities.

Position Summary
Through specific training and one-on-one advising the Peer Advisor will establish leadership skills that will provide customer service in the Financial Aid office. This position will offer highlights to any CV/Resume by fostering a learning environment in advising, collaboration, financial aid literacy, and communication. Peer advisors will also adapt to understanding their interpersonal skills and how to navigate them through consistent communication with students, faculty, and the community. Responsible for answering phones, emails, and following FERPA standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current student
- Part-time or greater enrollment status
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools

- Freshman/Sophomore Status
- Financial Aid Awareness
- ESU platforms/software experience
